Old Fashioned is a classic cocktail that many people love and it's always a great option to have in your bartending arsenal.

Ah, the Old Fashioned. A true man's drink. And when it comes to whiskey, Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond is a bourbon that I can always count on. With its 100 proof, it packs a punch that'll knock the socks off of any fancy cocktail.
First, you'll need a good glass. I recommend a nice, heavy rocks glass. None of that dainty stuff.
Next, let's talk about the whiskey. Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond is a bourbon that's been aged for a minimum of 4 years in a federally bonded warehouse and it's bottled at 100 proof, that means it packs a real punch. It's got a rich, oaky flavor with hints of caramel and vanilla.
Now, for the sugar. I ain't a fan of that store-bought simple syrup. I like to use a sugar cube and muddle it in the bottom of the glass. That way, you get a nice, slow dissolve and a touch of texture.
Next, the bitters. A couple dashes of Angostura will do the trick. But, you can experiment with different bitters to find your perfect flavor.
Finally, the cherry. I like to use a Luxardo cherry as a garnish. This premium cherry is known for its rich, complex flavor and texture. It adds a unique sweetness and subtle hint of cherry flavor to your drink.
Now, to put it all together. Add your sugar and bitters to the glass. Then, add a couple of ice cubes. Pour in your Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond, and give it a good stir. Express the oils from the orange peel over the drink, then drop it in the glass. Garnish with a Luxardo cherry.
And that's it. A simple, yet sophisticated drink that packs a punch. The addition of the Luxardo cherry gives the Old Fashioned a unique and delicious twist. Perfect for sipping on a warm summer evening, or a cold winter night. So, grab your glass, and cheers to the Old Fashioned.

Please keep in mind that Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond is 100 proof, so it's stronger than most bourbons, it may affect the final taste of the drink and also the alcohol content. It's always important to drink responsibly and be aware of your limits. The Bottled-in-bond process guarantees that the whiskey has been aged for at least four years, stored in a Federally Bonded warehouse, and bottled at 100 proof, it is considered to be a higher-quality bourbon and it may have a more robust and complex flavor profile.
