In this week's COTW, we're elevating relaxation to an art form. Picture the gentle buzz of bees in a lavender field, transformed into a sophisticated effervescent masterpiece.

This week's feature is the "Honey Lavender Gin Fizz" - a floral twist on a classic that dates back to the 1900s. The original Gin Fizz, born in New Orleans, has been delighting cocktail enthusiasts for over a century. While Jerry Thomas first documented the Fizz family in his 1876 cocktail guide, it was Henry C. Ramos who perfected the technique in 1888 at his Imperial Cabinet Saloon.

We're continuing our "New Year, New Sips" series with this aromatic adaptation that brings together the botanical notes of gin with the soothing properties of lavender and the natural sweetness of honey.

  3. Shake vigorously for 12-15 seconds
  4. Strain into a collins glass filled with fresh ice
  5. Top with club soda
  6. Garnish with a fresh lavender sprig and lemon wheel
